The Interim Associate Pastor is to be responsible for oversight and direction for many areas of ministry and program activities of the church directed toward spiritual development. Works with Head of Staff to direct planning activities and help implement the ministry vision of the church.  Provides spiritual leadership and guidance, monitors program activities, assesses effectiveness of existing programs and identifies needs. Supervises and supports program staff, works with program volunteers.  The Interim Associate has as a specific ministry focus with young family and small group ministry, and Christian education. These responsibilities combined with opportunities in preaching, teaching, and pastoral care, place the associate pastor in a critical role in enabling the church to grow to its full potential in fellowship, mission, and spiritual vitality.
